Welcome to Jokers Wild League. We aim for Good Clean Fun and Competition in a pleasant atmosphere. It is our goal to provide a combination of efficient and fun tournaments. Tournaments are far more enjoyable when they are run smooth and fair. When everyone knows what to expect from the Staff as well as other members. The Rules below are to help make this happen.

 1. Please HOLD ALL Lobby Chat while tables are being called
 2. Top Bracket Sets Table.
 3. If TD tells you to reset, Table is set wrong, please reset table. Even if you have already
played a hand or two when the TD caught the mistake.
 4. Please "SET" or "JOIN" Your Table "Promptly". You have 5 min to join table.
The TD Host will close on time.
 5. Your Jokers Wild Ladder Name must match your Hardwood (Tourney) Name. If when it
comes to reporting the win/loss and you used the WRONG ladder name, then the
game can be a "no game" or "DQ" loss for playing on the wrong name.
 6.  Report Loss
    A. Both the winning & the losing team will report the outcome in the lobby.
Example: Team XX (2) over Team XX (3).
    B. This is to help the new TDs with the Team Names and Numbers, to advance
the tournament and not hold it up. This is a courtesy call for the TDs.
 7. If you are signed up for the tournament, you should not be playing in another game
when the tournament starts. If you do not sit in the first 5 min, your partner may
find a Sub. If you can not find a Sub your team will be DQ'ed (disqualified).
 8. Boots:
    A. Failure to "SET" or "JOIN" table within 5 min, the Partner
will have 3 extra min to find a Sub.
You can not START a game with a BOT if a Player or Sub is not available in 8 min
it will result in a FF (Forfeit).
This is a Rated tour and if you start a game with a BOT the game becomes Social.
This is only for the START of the game.
During the game if a Sub is needed and not available,
you may elect to use a Bot until one is found to finish the game,
if it is not an Alt game.
    B. LEAVING or PAUSING Match With Out Approval of HOST TD
(This includes "Jumping Off Your Table" to improve Ping)
    C. Timed Boots begin when the HOST TD determines the following:
        a. A stalled player or faded Icon has been inactive for 2 min
            (no ping response)
        b. Complete DISCONNECTION
(player icon no longer visible in game room)
        c. * Please notify HOST TD immediately, for boot determination
if a player appears stalled/faded or disappears. Do Not kick a player unless
            TD says you can.
        d. The boot rule is 5-3-0. If you boot the third time, a sub will have to finish your
game for you, in order to not hold the tournament. Then sub must be a Jokers Wild
player. If no Sub is available in the allotted time of 8 min total, the team is timed
out and the win goes to the opponents, unless it is not an alt game they can elect to
play that game with a bot.
    D. Player will be allowed 2 Boots per game. If player exceeds limit, they will be
replaced with a Sub or a Bot if no Sub is available.  No Exceptions.
    E. When a SUB has been put into play & the ORIGINAL Team Member
Returns from a 1st or 2nd BOOT, that original member will be ALLOWED to
RESUME PLAYING at the "END of the HAND in PLAY"
    F.  For the Benefit of YOUR OWN TEAM
Do NOT click "Resume Game" when Re-Entering Hardwood. You might come
back in the middle of a hand and you do not know what has been played.
 9. Returning from Boot:
    A. Notify HOST TD Immediately
    B. We are sorry but the START of a THIRD BOOT...
requires the player to be REPLACED with a PERMANENT SUB for that game.
10. 2 BOOT RULE / SUB ALLOWANCES
    A. ONLY 1 SUB per TEAM is Allowed to Compete in ANY MATCH
    B. If you started out with a partner that is from another team, this is not a Sub,
this is your regular partner for the tour.
    C. Teams requiring 2 Simultaneous SUBs Automatically
         FORFEIT THEIR MATCH
        * In other words... If at the end of a BOOT ALLOWANCE,
the Placement of a Sub creates a Team Made of Only Subs that Team is DQ'd.
 11.  BRB's
     A.  One BRB per Team per Game. That means 2 BRB's per Game. Each Team
will be allowed one BRB each. Hit the Pause button and you will have 3 min,
if you are not back in time the timeout will unpause and play for you.
This will help keep the game going in a timely manner. No BRB on Nils,
unless it is a Pass game.
12. Table Talk
     A. No TT will be permitted. This includes saying NS, Bag Them, Set Them, Go Nil,
I Will Go Nil, Cover Me or anything of that nature, during the play of hand.
Anything that would change the outcome of the hand. Could be giving a heads up
about being set to your partner, so you can both give more bags since you are set.
     B. Hardwood has a tram button, so if you say tram and hit the button, this will NOT
be TT. It is just stating a fact. Saying "Duck: is NOT TT, because that is just
crossing fingers and wishful thinking. All in Fun.
     C. No Fooming during play of hands and especially during a Nil hand.
13. Problems
A.. If you having problems with a player at the table. Call the TD to table.
      B. Explain to TD the problem at the table, not in the lobby. All players should remain
at the table until the TD gives his/ or ruling.
      C. The TD's ruling is FINAL. DO NOT argue with the TD. If you feel the ruling
was unjust. File with your Captain and let them handle it. If they can not resolve it,
then they can file an Official Report with Admin. Make sure you have the game log
and any screen shot if needed with your report.
14.  If you do not have a team member available to play in the tournament, you may grab a
"Wild Card" for the tournament. This person is not considered a Sub, they are your
partner for the duration of  the tournament. If you find you do not care for the way
your "Wild Card" is playing and become Rude or make them feel bad, you can be
boxed for unsportsmanlike conduct. This person was nice enough to partner you.
If it was not for them you would have been dropped from the tournament,
so please be kind to your Wild Cards.
15. Leaving Game before game is over. Report to the Host that a player has left.
They have 5-3-0 Boot rule to return back.
If one or both players leave with no intentions of coming back.
Let the Host and an Admin in the lobby know, send in a copy of the game log
and disciplinary actions will be followed up on.
If a player or players leave and want to take a Loss this is their right.
If they leave on bad standing this will be addressed with complaint.
16. Alternative Games
      A. If you MISBID, that is a DQ (disqualified) or FF (Forfeit).
      B. It is your responsibility to know what game format you signed up for.
It is your responsibility to follow the TD's Rules for the Format.
17. Watchers
     A. Players may watch the game, but not disrupt the game.
     B. Refrain from conversation during the play of hand. Some people have the bubbles
instead of the chat boxes clicked on and the bubbles block their view.
     C. If a player asks for silence, please refrain from talking.
     D. Kicking watchers is prohibited.
18. NO Form of Outside Communication is Allowed DURING your match:
Please Indicate "AWAY" or "BUSY" on ALL Instant Messengers
& Refrain from using DURING your match
19. Needless to say… (but I’ll say it anyway)…
NO FORM OF CHEATING WILL BE TOLERATED
